Tips on How To Take Good Photos of Coins

This may seem like a rare thing for me to post but you wouldnt believe how hard it is to take a photo
of a coin.  Scanners are easier for a loose coin but taking a good pic looks better.

Here is the secret I learned. I cannot take credit for this idea, just this guide. I found this idea on the Internet in ebay guides


Get some opaque, not white, Milk Gallon Jugs and cut the bottoms off at different lengths. Cut the bottoms so that they are level and even. 1 at 1 inch below the top of the handle, One at 2 inches, One at 3 inches, One at 4 inches and last one at 5 inches from the top of the handle.

Place the coins on colored paper, white can be good but some coins look better on other colors. You will need to experiment depending on your coins

Place the milk jug right side up on top, centering it over the coin or coins, then put your lens over the milk jug hole where the lid normally goes.
 Different indoor lights, flash, macro, and zooming will need to be tested to suit you. The pictures come out GREAT! No Glares and you can see the details in the coins so well.

I really hope that this little helps others who want to sell their coins and shiny items but don't know how to get good pictures of them.

2. Get exercising as well as eating healthy foods. Both of these are essential to you looking and feeling better. If you think you dont have time to exercise then you probably need it even more.

You will be amazed how much more you get done and have time when you exercise and feel good


3. Set your Life Goals. Question yourself about what you want to be, do and have in life.

If you have a clear vision of what you want to be, do and have, then you will gravitate towards them and attract these things in life.

If you do not know what your goals are in life, then how will you know how to get there and when you get there?


4. Identify your fears and what scares you in life.

Do one thing everyday to push through your fears. For example, if you have a fear of flying visualise your destination and how happy you will be when you get there.


5. Keep a daily success journal and write down any events and experiences that are important to you that you have achieved. Also, write down any important ideas that you learn throughout the day. Reflecting upon this journal daily helps you create awareness of who you are and where you want to go and will get you to achieve your goals faster.

1. Pick up the phone and call a friend, family member, Gambling Hotline, or Gamblers Anonymous member when the urge hits. Usually when we have an urge to gamble we are really looking for some nurturing from those who love us. Sometimes just a conversation with someone who cares can help your gambling urge pass.

2. Try to find something constructive to do such as taking a walk, creating a new recipe, or even going to the mall or bookstore. Try to do something fun and stimulating since this will be replacing the gambling activity that you are trying to stop yourself from engaging in. Fill the void.. with something to keep you busy.

3. Get out a pencil and paper and write down what it felt like when you were driving home from the casino broke, despondent, angry, and depressed. Describe these feelings in detail. You will start to feel those horrible feelings by just writing these down.

4. Visualize in your mind the drive back from the casino. After writing, use this power of visualization to really experience those feelings. Spend a minute or two doing this. After writing down your thoughts and feelings, and then visualizing these, you will truly experience the physiological feelings of the drive back from the casino or other gambling venue. You will not feel good.. trust me.

5. Reward yourself for not gambling. Buy yourself a small gift or a book. Rent a movie and enjoy your time away from gambling. You will feel uplifted and proud of yourself for not giving into your gambling addiction impulse.
